On the digital city maps from Global Can you remember the global-local history(n) of Berlin, Bremen, Frankfurt am Main, Kassel and Cologne explore.
There are numerous events in every city, places and people, intertwined with global history, but are not visible in the official historiography: Strikes by migrant workers:within; Wesites of African and Afro-diasporic organizing in Europe; People, those in the international resistance to colonialism, Racism and fascism were and are active.
We invite you, to join us on an exciting journey through history and the present!
With keynote speeches by Murat Akan (historian, Berlin) on Decolonization and Global History and Eun Hi Yi (journalist, Frankfurt) on diasporic perspectives in development- and memory work.
Afterwards we will celebrate the launch with snacks and drinks. Welcome to you all!
