Icare would like to be called Zucchini. With his mother, a drinker, who only sits in front of the television and rarely cooks well, he doesn't lead a nice life. After her death, in which the boy is not entirely uninvolved, Zucchini comes to the orphanage. You can be happy about that with him, because the home is a place of refuge and is run by friendly educators.
The Swiss-French co-production convinces as a lovingly conceived and artfully implemented stop-motion animation. The figures with their big heads seem a bit unusual at first. But you quickly fell in love with her, not least because of their superbly developed characters. You laugh with the protagonists, fear with them and rejoice with them. Only a few animated films manage to do this with such emotional depth.
