Herbal post-pop meets sophisticated electro soundscapes. Jana Sotzko, who lives in Berlin, and her live band are coming to the Sanderhaus Subterrain with their second record “Bad Vibes in Mushroom Forest”.. She has been active in music for two decades and has played in numerous bands (u.a. Soft Grid, Dropout Patrol, Half silk). She works as a freelance composer for Tanz- and theater scene.

“Bad Vibes In Mushroom Forest” is the second official solo album by Berlin-based musician Jana Sotzko. While the debut “Drift” (2019) sounded like an introverted inventory of a state of ambiguity and aimlessness, Bad Vibes takes clearer directions: it moves into the forest, under the microscope, on the deck of the research ship. While a bit of melancholy and doubt remain anyway, curiosity and a joy in the fantastic prevail and translate into jazz-influenced experimental pop songs as a form of confused energy.
