The author Fikri Anıl Altıntaş will read from his debut novel “A pear tree grows in the morning”.. Fikri deals with texts, Workshops and lectures with masculinity(s), role models, Orientalismus, Antifeminism as well (Of)-Construction of migrant, Muslim-Turkish masculinity in Germany.
His novel is about his family history, Images of masculinity, Longing and the consequences of migration. The focus is on the relationship with his father, which is characterized by love and admiration. At the same time, he questions his father's images of masculinity and reflects in an open and vulnerable way, how his own family history shaped his self-image as a man.
