What is Mambo Kurt doing?? A solo entertainer with a home organ plays and sings cover versions of songs, that you would never have expected on a home organ.
There are days, on which is “Abba” too hard or “Slayer” too soft. For all other moods there is Mambo Kurt. The ever popular one, slightly crazy organ god interprets a fine compilation of true world hits on his beloved home organ. He does this in his inimitable style, which immediately puts a smile on the face of any audience. Mambo Kurt celebrates the fine art of omission and not being able to sing, that it is a real joy. Each song is a tribute to the original artists. Nothing hurts your legs like a rhumba 124 bpm. A good song remains a good song, even if you play it on the largest home organ ever built (By the way, their current price at online auctions is below 30 Euro lies).
Mambo Kurt plays hard rock- and pop classics has his own style and he makes it groove like crazy. The home organ, like a musical tsunami, immediately gets you dancing with its wonderful plastic sounds and makes Mambo Kurt fans happy from the first bars. In addition, sometimes there are meaningless ones, but sometimes also highly intellectual interludes from the master, it's fiept, it rocks. World class. Mambo is the only one, at the after “Slayer” “Dr. Alban” may come, and after “Abba” “Rage against the Machine”, without anyone doubting its accuracy. A Mambo Kurt concert was only successful then, when there was stage diving and a polonaise. And so far it has always worked.
Mambo Kurt war 1982 West German home organ playing champion in the age group up to 14 years old. At the end of the 90s he performed cover songs on the home organ in a small group for the first time. A large fan base was immediately found in heavy metal circles, since Mambo has a penchant for rock songs. His is legendary “Enter Sandman” Waltz version. The trash hype at the turn of the millennium brought Mambo onto TV, to RTL and VIVA2, to be exact. This was followed by an engagement at the Schauspielhaus Hannover 2003 and a composer work for ARTE. Mambo Kurt is definitely the only artist, who appeared at the European Theater Festival in Wiesbaden and a week later at Parookaville in Weeze and a week later in Wacken. Mambo Kurt was from 2006 to 2017 can be seen once a week as the smallest studio band in the world on the SWR late night show on TV. In the autumn 2014 PIPER Verlag published Mambo's autobiography. It is called “Heimorgan to Hell”. Mambo prefers to play live. Mambo has fun at festivals all over Europe.
Mambo Kurt is the Terminator among solo entertainers. Mambo separates the masses faster than Moses separates the sea, love him or hate him. Play home organ game!!
