Come on Saturday 14. August at 10 Clock to our workshop "Racism and Exploitation in the Animal Industry" as part of the anti-racist festival To check if everything is fine (NDRS).

The animal industry is entangled in international exploitative hierarchies: it benefits from land grabbing and environmental degradation, suffered by indigenous peoples and other rural populations in other parts of the world. But also in this country it exploits workers, who are mainly lured to Germany from Eastern Europe under false promises. So the destructive animal industry doesn't just have to be for the purpose of animal liberation, of the environment- and climate protection are abolished, but is part of the exploitative, neocolonial and racist capitalism. So we want to discuss it with you, how a system change in agriculture can be thought of and achieved in an intersectional way.
We don't want to talk about “the animal industry” as an abstract concept, but show the problems with a concrete example: an Plukon, the second largest chicken company in the EU, the one in Gudensberg, knapp 20 km from Kassel, Operates Hesse's largest poultry slaughterhouse.
