As part of the Educational series of the Rothen Ecke the event will be common with and from the local network against the animal industry in North Hesse take place on an important topic: Animal industry and nutrition.

The The animal industry is jointly responsible for our global crises, including climate change: Deforestation for feed, Overproduction for European export, extreme exploitation of workers in battle- and farms and immeasurable animal suffering.

In Gudensberg, not far from Kassel, is a factory of the Plukon Food Group - the group is one of the largest European poultry meat groups. Migrant workers have miserable working conditions, the group causes enormous environmental damage in the vicinity of the masts and is jointly responsible for the deforestation of the Danni, because the slaughterhouse is located directly at the motorway exit there for approaching the over 400 km of animal transports.

Corporations like Plukon get a lot of financial support, to keep them alive. This would require funding for healthy and inexpensive nutrition, that benefits everyone!

All well and good - but what does that have to do with the people around us? We want to discuss the topic with you after a short input, what that means for us and how we can directly support healthy eating without profit.
