Finally – a queer film festival in Kassel!
At the first Kassel Queer Film Festival on 25. and 26. May 2024 Not only films will be shown - over two days the Bali Cinema in the Kulturbahnhof will also become a place of queer representation in Kassel away from the screen. Employees:inside the Kassel arthouse cinemas, Students and film lovers:inside and various queer groups and associations came together at the beginning of the year, to celebrate queer cinema, take a position against social discrimination and strengthen the cinema as a social and political space. In addition to a diverse film program, there will be a lecture on the history of queer representation in film, a comic reading, as well as a party, hosting a community brunch and market of opportunities, where queer groups and initiatives from Kassel introduce themselves.
