Solidarity has no limits!
The situation at the EU's external borders and dying in the central Mediterranean are unbearable: Refugees are subjected to violence and arbitrariness in the camps and there is no prospect for a worthy asylum procedure. How long can a person endure under inhumane conditions at the EU's external border? Greece and the EU have effectively abolished basic human rights and the right to asylum in recent weeks. People on the run are shot at, the conditions in camps like Moria are intentionally inhumane, because the EU wants to scare those seeking protection. There is lawlessness there, where solidarity and humanity are most needed. With COVID-19, people in the Greek camps are another, exposed to life-threatening danger. Because everything, what we can do to protect against the virus here, how “Social Distancing” or washing your hands regularly, is impossible in the camps and #StayAtHome is only possible for those, who also have a home!
„Leave no one behind“ – With this fitting slogan, a public campaign has started, to address and scandalize the exaggerated injustice at the external borders and especially in the camps on the Greek islands.
In times of Corona will be one more time (be)more tangible, how politically wanted these human disasters are and how easy it would be, to change these states. There is money and space!
Enough space, to evacuate the refugee camps at the EU’s external border, and for the admission of refugees in Germany.
In Germany alone have over 140 Cities declared ready, To take refugees unbureaucratically.
Enough space, for mass accommodations, To dissolve initial reception facilities and anchor centers and to accommodate people decentrally.
There are currently hotels in Kassel, Hostels and AirBnB apartments empty.
Enough money, um allen Menschen vollen Zugang zum Gesundheitssystem zu ermöglichen.
Health and medical care should not depend on residence status!
Come for solidarity individual walks with signs on Saturday 2. May one 15 In the city center of Kassel.
Please wear a face mask and at least hold on 2 m distance.
Ensure health care! Dissolve camp! Protect people and their rights!
