Based on real events and people, the film tells the story of Zilan, a Kurdish woman, who returns to her homeland Diyarbakir on the trail of her slain brother. Suddenly she finds herself fighting with the Turkish police and army. A story of ideals, struggle, Friendship, Loss and sacrifice in what appears to be a hopeless conflict.
The skirmishes in winter 2015/16 claim many victims. Some of the survivors star in this film, directed by Ersin Çelik, Member of the Rojava Film Commune.
