MEGA UNHEARED! Adbustings against police and military – Lecture and discussion with the Berlin Busters Social Club

AdBusting, this is an artificial word from the English terms "advertising" (Advertising) and “to bust” (smash, bust, to bust, make fun of). This is how street artists describe the politically motivated change in advertising. The communication guerrilla enthusiasts of the Berlin Busters Social Club have meanwhile collected thousands of examples of such actions in their secret archives in the tunnels deep below the capital, curated and sometimes exhibited or published as a book: Sometimes advertising for the police service was creatively added, hung up their own posters for recruiting young people for the Bundeswehr - only with "honest" statements. Of course, the state institutions don’t put up with that and so adbusting artists have had to make a lot of experience with repression: From the police and military to state security and the “Joint Counter-Terrorism Center” of the federal and state governments, many repressive bodies have been after the street art artists.

Boris Buster and Adbustian Bustewka from the Berlin Busters Social Club give an insight into the world of adbusting, into the circumstances around it and present the group's second book, which has just been published.
