To the 8. March 2020, International Women's Day, had called the women and queers strike committee Kassel to a feminist demonstration. According to the call of the committee, this should bring current feminist struggles onto the streets. In his article “International Women's Day in Kassel with two pages: Angry speeches and serious dialogue” the local journalist Axel Schwarz described the demonstration as an “open anger articulation offer from all imaginable sensitivities of perceived disadvantage” and reported to the speakers, “No specific and therefore debatable issues mentioned” to have. The committee criticized further in the statement, that feminist concerns would be discredited, by only addressing supposedly inappropriate emotions, with which legitimate claims would be brought forward.
